Senegal is home to the largest French community in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is one of France’s closest partners in Africa on a human, political and economic level. In particular, it is the principal partner of local authorities and regions in terms of the number of cooperation projects.

The seminar saw the launch of four roadmaps for the continuation of bilateral relations:
  1. mobility
  2. the acceleration of Senegal’s emergence
  3. the establishment of health, schooling and higher education initiatives
  4. a joint approach to regional security issues
Numerous agreements were signed by the two countries. After the signing ceremony, the two Prime Ministers held a joint press conference.

A working lunch took place at midday, prepared jointly by the Senegalese chef Rougui Dia and the Hôtel de Matignon’s chef, Denis Rippa.
