Lodge a criminal complaint

A criminal complaint is the act by which a person declares that they are a victim of an offense by informing justice

The criminal complaint can be made against an identified or non-identified person, if the identity of the perpetrator is not known. Any victim of a criminal offense may lodge a complaint, even minors.
It’s not necessary to lodge a criminal complaint but it can facilitate your efforts, particularly in terms of compensation.
Be advised that a record will be created when lodging a criminal complaint. You should ask for a complete copy of the record to facilitate your compensation efforts, as the receipt will not be sufficient.
